Legalization of documents for official procedures abroad.

 

Some documents issued in Cuba must be duly authenticated to be legally effective in the territory of The Bahamas.

The Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Havana offers the legalization service at its Consular Section. To legalize documents, users must follow the following steps:

  • Users must certify their original documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba through the institutions authorized to do so: International Legal Consultancy Offices.
  • Present yourself at the Embassy of The Bahamas with your identity and travel documents (passport and/or identity card) and the documents you wish to legalize (prior certification from MINREX).
  • The cost of legalization is 480.00 Cuban pesos per document.
  • If the procedure to be carried out abroad requires the documents to be translated, users must request the translation in a Cuban institution certified for this purpose.
