INFORMATION ABOUT DOCUMENT’S TRANSLATION SERVICE AT THE BAHAMIAN EMBASSY
Dear Customer:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas has updated its visa application to online process. One of the requirements of the application is that the supporting documents must be translated into English and legalized in an official institution. Taking into account the peculiarities of the translation services in Cuba (costs, time and offices’ availability), the Embassy of The Bahamas in Havana has decided to temporarily offer the documents’ translation service in order to speed up the process.
Requesting translation service:
- Documents’ translation service can be requested in person, in our Embassy at 5ta Avenida # 3306 /30 and 32, Miramar, Playa or by email through: embahamas.havana@gmail.com.
- For translation’s services requested through mail, a scanned pdf copy of the originals (each one separately), with good quality (to facilitate reading, medical certificates must be legible), a copy of your identity card on both sides and your phone number must be sent to the aforementioned email.
- If the service is requested in person, the originals and the identity card must be presented.
- The price of the translation is: 50.00 CUP per page (one sided). The official who attends the translation service will issue an invoice with the cost of the service calculated.
- Payment of the service can be made in cash or via Transfermóvil to a card with the confirmation mobile number indicated by the official (the card number will be provided by the official once the cost of the service has been calculated).
- Payment must be made as soon as the invoice is received.
- Translations will not be delivered until the payment is received and cleared.
- The delivery time for translations is between 24 to 48 hours during working days (holidays are not included).
- Translation can be requested in hard copy (paper, in which case clients must come and pick them up at the Embassy), in digital format (via e-mail), or both. The digital documents will be delivered in pdf format.
The translations being carried out at the moment are: criminal records, birth certificates, legal travel authorizations and to obtain passports for minors, medical certificates, marriage certificates, bank statements, single status certificates, employment letters, self-employment licenses, acknowledgment of paternity. If you need to translate other documents not previously listed, please contact the Embassy previously and request for information.
The translations and legalizations carried out by the Embassy of The Bahamas in Havana are for the exclusive use of the Consular Division of the Government of The Bahamas and for clients who need to apply to travel to The Bahamas or any related consular service. DOCUMENTS ARE NOT TRANSLATED OR LEGALIZED FOR SERVICES OF ANY OTHER INSTITUTION, COUNTRY OR CONSULATE.

INFORMACION SOBRE EL SERVICIO DE TRADUCCIONES DE DOCUMENTOS EN LA EMBAJADA DE LAS BAHAMAS
Estimado cliente:
El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de la Mancomunidad de Las Bahamas ha actualizado su proceso de aplicación a visado de forma online. Uno de los requerimientos de la aplicación es que los documentos de respaldo sean traducidos al inglés y legalizados en alguna institución oficial.
Teniendo en cuenta las peculiaridades actuales de ese servicio en Cuba (costos, tiempo y disponibilidad de oficinas para ello) la Embajada de Las Bahamas en La Habana ha decidido ofrecer el servicio de traducción de forma temporal a los interesados para agilizar los procesos.
Las normas para la solicitud del servicio son las siguientes:
- Puede solicitar las traducciones de forma personal, presentándose en nuestra sede en la dirección 5ta Avenida #3306 /30 y 32, Miramar, Playa; o vía online a través del correo: embahamas.havana@gmail.com.
- Para solicitar las traducciones vía correo debe enviar una copia de los originales escaneada en pdf, cada uno por separado, con calidad (para facilitar su lectura, los certificados médicos deben venir con letra legible), una copia de su carné de identidad por ambas caras y su número de teléfono.
- De entregar los documentos personalmente deberá traer los originales y su carné de identidad.
- El precio de la traducción es: 50.00 CUP por página. El funcionario que le atiende le entregará una factura con el costo calculado del servicio.
- El pago del servicio podrá hacerse en efectivo o vía Transfermóvil, a una tarjeta y móvil de confirmación, indicados por el funcionario encargado de la facturación (el número de la tarjeta se le hará saber en el momento del pago).
- El servicio se debe pagar en cuanto se reciba la factura de servicios.
- No se entregarán las traducciones hasta tanto no se haga efectivo el pago.
- El plazo de entrega de las traducciones será de 24 a 48 horas en días laborables.
- Usted puede solicitar su traducción en formato duro (papel, en cuyo caso deberá venir a recogerla a la Embajada), en formato digital (vía correo) o ambas. Los documentos digitales se entregarán en formato pdf.
Las traducciones que se están realizando por el momento son: antecedentes penales, certificaciones de nacimiento, autorizaciones notariales de viaje y para obtención de pasaporte para menores de edad, certificados médicos, certificados de matrimonio, certificados de soltería, cartas de trabajo, licencia de cuentapropista, reconocimiento de paternidad y estados de cuentas bancarias. Si Usted requiere traducir otro documento que no se encuentre en la lista anterior, por favor, comuníquese primero con la Embajada y solicite información.
Las traducciones y legalizaciones que realiza la Embajada de Las Bahamas en La Habana son para uso exclusivo de la División de Asuntos Consulares del gobierno de Las Bahamas y para los clientes que requieran aplicar para viajar a Las Bahamas o algún servicio consular relacionado. NO SE TRADUCEN NI LEGALIZAN DOCUMENTOS PARA SERVICIOS DE NINGUNA OTRA INSTITUCION, PAIS O CONSULADO.
